What We Do

The company offers execution-only stock broking services and our operations are governed mainly by the Securities and Exchange Act, Listing Requirements as well as the ZSE Members’ Rules. More information relating to our licensing is available on the ZSE and SECZ websites at www.zse.co.zw and www.seczim.co.zw respectively.

We serve a broad range of both institutional and individual investors and are the broker of choice to foreign portfolio investors. Imara Edwards pioneered the concept of equities research in Zimbabwe, and retains the reputation for commitment to this area. In addition to the core equities trading business, Imara Edwards was historically involved in the vast majority of listed company corporate actions in a sponsoring broker role. We are appointed sponsoring brokers to some of the market’s largest companies including Delta Corporation, Old Mutual Limited and Simbisa Brands

JP Morgan, was established in 1954 and is recognised
as one of the largest stock broking and securities
houses in Zimbabwe with an estimated average
market share of 15%.

Our People

The executive management team comprises Sebastian Gumbo, Phenias Mandaza and Thedias Kasaira. Upon conclusion of a “Management Buy Out” in December 2022 the team acquired 100% of the equity in the business from Imara Capital Zimbabwe. The company’s 3 executives each have vast experience in equity sales and trading.

Sebastian (Seb) has over 15 years of professional experience and a solid background in listed equities both in Zimbabwe and across the African continent.

All client stock is held in segregated accounts at the central scrip depositories and is not reflected on our balance sheet.
